Mr. Heydon has pioneered multiple seafloor polymetallic-nodule companies, having created Nauru Ocean Resources Inc. in 2008 and co-founded DeepGreen Resources Inc. in 2011, which later became TMC The Metals Company upon its Nasdaq listing in 2021. Mr Heydon has spent nearly 20 years focused on seafloor polymetallic nodules in the Clarion-Clipperton Zone.
